Born in Fort Worth, Texas, but I've spent most of my life in the Washington, DC area earning a living in the finance industry. I discovered the enthralling world of the Byzantines and have not looked back. I have degrees from Georgetown University and George Washington University (sadly, neither of them in history), and I am married with three daughters.
